Agreement to Terms

By purchasing or accessing The Run of Show Playbook, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use our products or services.


Product Description

The Run of Show Playbook is digital educational products and consulting service that provides training, templates, frameworks, and strategic resources to help nonprofit organizations and event professionals plan and execute high-impact gala events. Depending on the service tier purchased, it may include:

  • Access to the Run of Show Playbook training program and framework

  • Event Message Strategy templates and run of show documents

  • Speaker and emcee scripting resources

  • Fund-a-need and donor engagement frameworks

  • AI prompt tools and content resources

  • Strategy calls and consulting sessions with Rick Toone or staff

  • Revision rounds and day-of timeline support


Purchase and Payment

  • All purchases are processed through our secure payment processor

  • Prices are in USD and subject to change

  • You will receive access to your purchased tier upon successful payment and completion of any required intake process

  • By purchasing, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old


Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.


Refund Policy

We offer a 15-day money-back guarantee on digital product purchases. If you are not satisfied with the quality of the educational content and resources provided, you may request a full refund within 15 days of purchase by emailing info@runofshowplaybook.com

This guarantee covers your satisfaction with the training materials and resources themselves. It does not cover dissatisfaction with event outcomes, fundraising results, or factors outside the scope of the materials delivered.

For consulting engagements (Full Playbook and White Glove tiers), refund eligibility is limited to the portion of the engagement not yet delivered. Custom scripting, strategy calls, and completed deliverables are non-refundable once delivered.


License and Usage Rights

Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use The Run of Show Playbook materials for your personal or organizational event use. You may NOT:

  • Resell, redistribute, or share Run of Show Playbook materials with others outside your organization

  • Copy or reproduce the content for distribution or resale

  • Claim authorship of the frameworks, scripts, or templates

  • Use the content for any illegal purposes

Scripts and documents created for your specific event are licensed for your use with that event and organization only.


Intellectual Property

All content within The Run of Show Playbook — including but not limited to frameworks, scripts, templates, training materials, and proprietary methodologies such as the FRAME Method, SCORE Framework, Three-Act Gala structure, and Three-Cry Framework — is owned by The Director's Studio / Run of Show Consulting and is protected by copyright law. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.


No Guarantees of Results

The Run of Show Playbook provides educational content, strategic frameworks, and consulting resources. We make no guarantees regarding specific fundraising outcomes, donor response, or event performance resulting from the implementation of our materials.

Your results depend on your organization's execution, audience relationships, event conditions, and numerous factors beyond our control. Any examples or case studies shared are illustrative of individual situations and should not be interpreted as typical or guaranteed outcomes.

Effective event messaging requires strategic thinking, organizational alignment, and consistent effort.


Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your event decisions, execution, and outcomes

  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

  • Any contractual or donor-related obligations your organization holds

  • The accuracy of the information you provide during intake and strategy sessions

  • The content and claims made in your own event communications and donor appeals

Nothing in The Run of Show Playbook constitutes legal, financial, or fundraising compliance advice. Always consult qualified professionals regarding your specific situation.


Community Guidelines

Where access to a private community or group is included, that access is a privilege. You agree to:

  • Be respectful and professional

  • Not spam or promote unrelated products or services

  • Do not share login credentials or course content with others

  • Follow community rules as posted

We reserve the right to remove access to the community for violations of these guidelines.


Updates and Changes

We may update the Run of Show Playbook with new content, frameworks, or improvements at our discretion. We may also modify these Terms and Conditions. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.


Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to The Run of Show Playbook if you violate these Terms and Conditions or engage in fraudulent activity.
